Northumberland Youth Work Network - Trips

Barnabas are part of a wider network of youth organisations around the County. The network has funding to put on these two events for young people across the County, which is why we can only offer 4 places on each trip.

Thursday 6th August 2026

Coastal Walk from Bamburgh to Seahouses

We will meet at Barnabas HQ at 9:00 to head to Bamburgh and take a leisurely stroll to Seahouses on the beach. There is an alternative accessible path that runs alongside the road, should anyone need to use it.

The boat trip around the Farne Islands will depart from Seahouses Harbour at 1.30pm and takes about an hour and a half. We have one of their small boats to ourselves, so will ensure that we are all together for the trip. We might be lucky and spot seals and the odd Orca!

Once back on dry land, we will have fish (or sausage) and chips before heading home for approx 18:00. Barnabas are required to pay a £10 deposit for this so please only book if you are sure your child can make it.

Thursday 13th August 2026

Kielder Challenge, at Chirdon Head Residential & Expedition Centre Kielder

Cramlington Voluntary Youth Project will be leading this event; a team of 8 colleagues delivering a carousel of activities and tasks.

We will need to leave Barnabas HQ at 8:30 to arrive at Tower Knowe car park for 9:30. You will need a packed lunch and wear clothing suitable for a day outdoors.

We will return to Morpeth for approx 18:00.

Any additional information and activity specific consent forms will be sent out once places are booked.
